Hey There

Hi, my name is Ili Adam and I am SAHM mother of four from Singapore City. Simply put, I'm a hopeless romantic, losing myself in books during my free time, and I love handmade kinds of stuff. I cannot live without listening to music and I do it whilst doing household chores and my business. I started aweSEWm in December 2018, selling personalised and customised baby apparel and newborn gifts.

 

Then in 2020 when Covid 19 cases arose, I sold customised face masks for kids since the market had not yet provided different sizes for the different age groups. The parents were happy because it helped the kids to retain the masks on their faces since they had their favourite designs and their names on them. It encouraged the kids to wear them throughout their time in school. That was when I was featured in the local Malay newspaper Berita Harian in April 2020.

 

Not long after, I dabbled in crafts, making customised 3D cake toppers and treat bags, and my customers enjoyed designing them with me as they suited their ideal birthday theme.

Putting a smile on my customers and their families' faces brings me joy and satisfaction. I also have fun doing what I do. They inspire me to learn new skills, I'm motivated to do what I love and seek opportunities to grow. I hope one day I will be able to share the fun of making crafts globally!
